Pasadena Choral Society to Present Theatrical Mozart Requiem with Actor Milo Brody

By David Salazar

The Pasadena Choral Society will present “Life of Mozart” on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at San Marino Community Church in a free, open-to-the-public performance.

The program pairs a performance of Mozart’s “Requiem” with a dramatic narrative portraying Mozart himself. Musician and actor Milo Brody will take on the role, speaking from excerpts of the composer’s own letters to illuminate the circumstances surrounding the Requiem’s creation.

A Pasadena native, Brody is an alumnus of the Pasadena Chorale’s “Listening to the Future” young composer program and a graduate of the Pasadena Waldorf School, where he performed with the Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra. He currently studies Trombone Performance and English at Oberlin College and Conservatory, where he performs with the Oberlin Orchestra, Brass Ensemble, and Baroque Ensemble, and sings with the Collegium Musicum.

The Pasadena Choral Society is the newest ensemble of the Pasadena Chorale, founded in 2009 and winner of the 2024 American Prize in Choral Performance.
