Parma Recordings is set to present a concert entitled “New Songs from New England.”

The showcase, which is set for June 24, 2021, will be streamed live via the company’s official website.

The performance will feature soprano Jamie-Rose Guarrine as she takes on a song cycle by Scott Gendel entitled “To Keep the Dark Away.” She will be joined by pianist Lemuel Gurtowsky and cellist Karl Knapp.

Next up, Guarrine will take on Gregory W. Brown’s “Moonlight is Very White” alongside Knapp.

For the third piece in the program, soprano Mary Hubbell will perform Ronald Perera’s “That We were Gone” alongside Gurtowsky. Hubbell will also close the concert with Gregory W. Brown’s “To the Bleak Shore;” she will be accompanied by Gurtowsky.

All of the music performed in the concert was written for the artists who appear.
