
Paris Opera Play Streaming Now Available on Android TV & Apple TV
By Afton MarkayParis Opera Play has announced that its streaming platforms are now available on Android TV and Apple TV.
Subscribers now can view Paris Opera Play’s entire catalog of shows and documentaries on the apps. This season, two operas are set to be live streamed. First is Debussy’s “Pelléas et Mélisande” staring Huw Montague Rendall and Sabine Devieilhe in the title roles on March 20. This production is directed by Wajdi Mouawad and conducted by Antonello Manacorda. Christof Loy’s production of Puccini’s “Il Trittico” featuring soprano Asmik Grigorian under the baton of Carlo Rizzi is slated for May 16.
The Paris Opera Academy’s documentaries “Premiers pas à l’Opéra” and “ADO, Apprentissage De l’Orchestre” are also included in the catalog. Available from March to June is a tribute playlist honoring the career of Paris Opera Ballet’s Mathieu Ganio.
