The ABAO Bilbao Opera is set to present the Bilbao premiere of Fabio Ceresa’s production of “La Clemenza di Tito” starting on Jan. 22, 2022.

The opera will be presented at the Euskealduna Bilbao with conductor Riccardo Frizza leading the Euskadiko Orkestra. The work will star Paolo Fanale in the title role with Daniela Mack as Sesto. In the role of Annio, audiences will hear Veta Pilipenko, while Vanessa Goikoetxea will be Vitellia.

Additional cast members include Itziar de Unda as Servilia and Josep Miquel Ramón as Publio.

There will be a total of five performances of “La Clemenza di Tito” with additional shows set for Jan. 24, 26, 28, and 31, 2022.

There will also be a special lecture by music critic Andrea Meril on Jan. 21 focusing on this Mozart work.

The production had its premiere at the Opéra de Lausanne and this series of performances is sponsored by BBVA.
