By Francisco Salazar

The Palau de les Arts in Valencia has announced that it will resume its programming this weekend following a number of postponements and cancelations.

The company said, “In Les Arts, from the greatest respect and solidarity with all the people affected by DANA, we resume the shows planned for this week. With the spirit of showing our support through culture, we continue with the concert ‘Guía de orquesta para jóvenes,’ which will be performed this Friday, November 15, and with the show ‘Cartes Blanches,’ which will take place on Saturday the 16. The rest of the scheduled events continue as scheduled.”

The news comes after the Palau de les Arts postponed Sondra Radavanovsky and Piotr Beczala’s concert to Nov. 26 and canceled its production of “La Verbena de la Paloma.”

Following the historic flooding in Valencia, protesters and police clashed in the streets of Valencia on Saturday, as tens of thousands of people marched to demand the regional president resign over his response to floods that killed more than 220 people.
