The Palau de les Arts in Valencia, Spain has announced that it will be extending the contract for Artistic Director Jesús Iglesias for another four years.

Iglesias, who joined in 2019 and took over the position of Artistic Director from Davide Livermore, will now lead the company through the end of 2027; his new contracts take effect on Jan. 1, 2023.

Prior to his time at the Palau de les Arts, Iglesias worked as Artistic Director at the Dutch National Opera, Artistic Coordinator at the Teatro Real de Madrid between 2002-12, and Artistic Director at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

He is a graduate of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and has been a professor of piano at the Conservatorio Superior de Música y Danza in Oviedo. He also has a license in Economic and Business Sciences from the University of Oviedo.
