Palau de les Arts Delays Opening of ‘Les Contes d’Hoffmann’

The Palau de les Arts in Valencia, Spain has delayed the opening of its production of “Les Contes d’Hoffmann.”

The production, which was set to open on Jan. 20 will now open on Jan. 23.

The company noted that delayed opening was caused due to an adjustment in the rehearsal schedule caused by the pandemic. Ticket holders will be allowed to exchange their tickets for another date and will be contacted directly by the opera company.

“Les Contes d’Hoffmann” is set to be conducted by Marc Minkowski and will star John Osborn in the title role and Pretty Yende in her role debut as all four of the heroines. Alex Esposito and Paula Murrihy round out the cast as the four villains and Nicklausse in a production by Johannes Erath.

The production is set to run through Jan. 31, 2022.
