Palau de les Arts Announces Streaming Cycle

The Palau de les Arts has announced that it will begin a streaming cycle on March 31.

The theater will collaborate with  Unitel GmbH & Co.KG to offer a diverse program on the Palau de les arts website.

The program will begin with Verdi’s “Otello” conducted by Zubin Mehta from 2013. The opera stars Gregory Kunde in the title role, Carlos Álvarez as Iago, and María Agresta as Desdemona.

On April 2, Les Arts will showcase Puccini’s “La Bohème” conducted by Riccardo Chailly. The cast is headed by  Gal James, Carmen Romeu, and Aquiles Machado, in a production by Davide Livermore.

The first week of streaming will be completed on April 4 with “Turandot” conducted by Mehta. The recording stars Maria Guleghina in the title role and Marco Berti as Calaf. The production is directed by Chen Kaige.
