The Palau de Les Arts in Valencia, Spain has announced changes to its 2020-21 season due to COVID-19.

The company revealed that Daniele Gatti’s debut performance of the Verdi Requiem will be postponed until July 1 and the upcoming “Tristan und Isolde” will be replaced by “Falstaff.” The company announced that the changes were due to the large amount of orchestra and chorus members needed for the Wagner work.

As a result, “Falstaff,” which had been canceled earlier this month, will now be presented on March 2, 7, 11, and 14. The production will star Ambrogio Maestri and Ainhoa Arteta. The cast will also include Mattia Olivieri, Juan Francisco Gatell, Jorge Rodríguez Norton, Joel Williams, Antonio Di Matteo, Sara Blanch, Violeta Urmana, and Ana Ibarra.
