Pacific Opera Project Unveils 2023-24 Season

California’s Pacific Opera Project has unveiled its 2023-24 season.

The company will kick things off with “Hansel and Gretel” at Descanso Gardens in La Cañada Flintridge, California.

Performance Dates: August 4-6, 2023

Next up is “The Barber of Seville” starring Meagan Martin, Jonathan McCullough, Andrew Potter, Sergio Gonzalez, and E. Scott Levin. Kyle Naig conducts.

Performance Dates: August 25, 2023

The company will then present the double bill of “Scalia / Ginsburg” and “Trial by Jury” featuring a new libretto by Josh Shaw.

Performance Dates: Nov. 17 -26, 2023

The company will kick off 2024 with “Die Fledermaus” at the Occident College Glee Club. The production stars Schyler Vargas, Avery Boettcher, Luis Orozco, Chloe Sundet, Emily Geller, and William Grundler. Caleb Lavertu conducts and Josh Shaw directs. 

Performance Dates: Feb. 17 & 18, 2024

Closing out the season will be “Madama Butterfly” at the Aratani Theater at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center. The production will feature the South Bay Singers led by Naoko Suga.

Performance Dates: June 1 – 9, 2024
