The Pacific Opera Project  is set to join forces with The Occidental College Glee Club for its upcoming production of Verdi’s Lla Traviata.”

The two will collaborate on two performances scheduled for Oct. 27 and 28, 2018 at Occidental College’s Thorne Hall; the two organizations last worked together in 2016 for “The Rake’s Progress,” which was largely deemed a success.

The upcoming team-up will allow the organizations to present Verdi’s masterpiece with a chorus made up of more than 50 members, which will include Occidental Glee Club students and a POP professional chorus, plus a large orchestra.

“La Traviata” is set to star Amanda Kingston in the title role alongside Orson Van Gay II as Alfredo and Eric McKeever as Germont. Josh Shaw will direct the production with Jesse Leong conducting.
