Pacific Opera Project to Present ‘Pirates of Penzance’ in Park/Picnic Production

On May 19, 2023, California’s Pacific Opera Project will present Gilbert & Sullivan’s “The Pirates of Penzance” at Glendale Forest Lawn.

Located between LA and the San Gabriel Mountains, this venue has seen previous POP productions, with audience members invited to dress in costume and picnic on the grounds.

Conductor Caleb Glickman will make his company debut, leading a cast comprised of Jake Stamatis as The Pirate King, Chloe Sundet as Mabel, Brian Wallin as Frederic, E. Scott Levin as Major-General Stanley, and Emily Geller as Ruth.

Performances will be held on May 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, and 28, 2023.

This season the Pacific Opera Project has presented “The Elixir of Love,” “La Boheme,” and The “Magic Flute,” among others.
