Oviedo Philharmonic Announces Conductor Change for May 9 Concert

The Oviedo Philharmonic has announced a conductor change for its concert on May 9, 2024.

The orchestra said that conductor Alondra de la Parra has canceled her participation in the concert and will be replaced by conductor Christian Vásquez.

This season, Vásquez is set to perform with the Tenerife Symphony, Symphony Orchestra from the region of Murcia, Orquestra Sinfônica do Paraná, Orchester Pasdeloup, and Tucson Symphony Orchestra.

The concert will also feature Rolando Villazón in arias by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Joseph Haydn as well as Antonín Dvorák’s Symphony No. 8.
