Osterfestspiele Salzburg Announces 2022 Season

The Osterfestspiele Salzburg has announced its 2022 season which will return to April.

At the heart of the 2022 Festival will be Richard Wagner’s “Lohengrin” directed by Jossi Wieler, Sergio Morabito, and Anna Viebrock. The production will star Eric Cutler in the title role, Jacquelyn Wagner, Martin Gantner, Elena Pankratova, and Hans-Peter König. Christian Thielemann conducts.

Performance Dates: April 9 & 18, 2022

Christian Thielemann will lead Bruckner’s Symphony No. 9 and the Te Deum with soloists Camilla Nylund, Elena Zhidkova, Saimir Pirgu, and Franz-Josef Selig.

Performance Dates: April 12 & 15, 2022

There will also be orchestral concerts by Tugan Sokhiev, Myung-Whun Chung, Matthias Wollong, and Norbert Anger.
