The Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid will present Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 on Sep. 19, 2020 at the Teatro Real de Madrid.

The ensemble will replace the famed Mahler Chamber Orchestra, who is unable to travel due to Spain’s travel restrictions imposed by COVID-19.

The Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid will perform alongside soprano Susanne Elmark, mezzo-soprano Aigul Akhmetshina, tenor Leonardo Capalbo, and baritone José Antonio López.

The event will also showcase the Cor de Cambra del Palau de la Música Catalana, and alumni de la Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía.

Gustavo Dudamel will conduct.
