Esteban Morales has joined the Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga as its new General Manager.

Morales will succeed Juan Carlos Ramírez, who stepped down from his position five months ago.

Morales was chosen from over 50 different candidates who applied for the job and will join the organization for an initial two years with the possibility of extending the contract.

The new Manager graduated as a percussionist in Granada and has been a member of such orchestras as the Orquesta Joven de Andalucía, the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España, the Orchestre de Jeunnes de la Mediterranée, the Orquesta Joven Iberoamericana and the Joven Orquesta de la Unión Europea. He has performed in England, Venezuela, Egypt. Germany, France, Russia, and Portugal, among others.
