Orquesta Filarmónica d Bogotá to Showcase Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9
By David SalazarThe Orquesta Filarmónica d Bogotá will present Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 at the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo on March 5, 2023.
Emil Tabakov will conduct the showcase, featuring soprano Laura Arias, mezzo-soprano Daniela Callejas, tenor Sergio Blázquez, and bass Noé Colín. The Coro Filarmónico Juvenil will join them. The program will also feature Beethoven’s “Leonore” Overture No. 3.
The performance kicks off at 5 p.m. local time.
The ensemble is also set to perform Mahler’s Symphony No. 6, “Tragic,” a few weeks later on March 19, 2023.
