On July 15, ORF Drei is set to broadcast Oper im Steinbruch’s new production of Puccini’s “Tosca.”

The production will star Joyce El-Khoury in the title role of Tosca alongside Yongzhao Yu as Cavaradossi and Gevorg Hakobyan as Scarpia. The cast is rounded out by

Thaddeus Strassberger directs the new production by Valerio Galli.

Th production, which runs through August 22, will also star Melissa Purnell, Celine Byrne, Bror Magnus Tødenes, Adorján Pataki, Hansung Yoo, and Marco Caria.

The festival was founded in 1996 and is led by Daniel Serafin. This past season the festival presented a production of Verdi’s “Aida” with Leah Crocetto. Recent productions include “Carmen,” “Nabucco,” “Turandot,” and “Die Zauberflote.”
