
Oreste Cosimo, Sebastian Catana, Susanne Burgess & Lauren Snouffer Lead Pittsburgh Opera’s 2026-27 Season

The Pittsburgh Opera has announced its 2026–27 season, celebrating the company’s 88th anniversary.
The season opens with Verdi’s “Rigoletto” with Sebastian Catana, Daniel O’Hearn, Susanne Burgess, Maire Therese Carmack, and Peter Volpe. Antony Walker conducts.
Performance Dates: Oct. 10, 16, 18, 2026
Gluck’s “Orpheus & Eurydice” will star Stephanie Doche, Lauren Snouffer, and Léa Nayak. Antony Walker conducts the production by José Maria Condemi.
Performance Dates: Nov. 14, 20, 22, 2026
Léa Naya, Ayanna Delk-Lewis, Erik Nordstrom, and Logan Wagner star in Händel’s “Partenope” with Antony Walker conducting and Haley Stamats directing.
Performance Dates: Jan. 23, 26, 29, 31, 2027
“Working for the Macbeths” by Johanny Navarro and Marcus Yi will make its world premiere with Léa Nayak, Asyanna Delk-Lewis, Erik Nordstrom, Logan Wagner, and Drew Comer. Crystal Manich directs.
Performance Dates: Feb. 27, March 2, 5, 7, 2027
Gounod’s “Roméo et Juliette” will star Oreste Cosimo, Lyrdia Katarina, Erik Nordstrom, Matt Boehler, Meredith Arwady, Logan Walker, Jason Budd, and Drew Comer. Antony Walker conducts the production.
