Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai Cancels March Performances

By Francisco Salazar

The Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai has suspended its upcoming live stream concerts.

The orchestra announced that due to the Italian government’s restrictions in order to slow down the spread of COVID-19, all concerts will be suspended until April 6. The March 18, 21, and 25 live streams are the presentations directly impacted by this new decree.

The orchestra announced that new plans will be announced in April.

The news comes as Italy is entering a new lockdown due to a new wave. On March 12, Primer Minister Mario Draghi said, “More than a year after the start of the health emergency, we are unfortunately facing a new wave of infections. The memory of what happened last spring is vivid, and we will do everything to prevent it from happening again.”
