Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century to Celebrate 40th Anniversary with Mozart Double Bill

The Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century is set to present a unique Mozart double bill as part of its 40th-anniversary celebration.

Starting on Oct. 8, 2021, the company will tour “Die Zauberflöte” and “Die Schauspieldirektorin” under the musical direction of Kenneth Montgomery and the direction of Alexander Oliver.

“Die Schauspieldirektorin” will be headlined by Roberta Alexander with Ilse Eerens, Anne Sophie Petit, Henk Neven, Katharin Dain, Jeroen de Vaal, Jan-Willem Schaafsma, and Berend Eijkhout headlining “Die Zauberflöte” (and playing roles in “Die Schauspieldirektorin”).

The tour throughout the Netherlands kicks off in Zaandam on Oct. 8 and features performances in Breda, Nijmegen, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Zwolle, Utrecht, Eindhoven, and The Hague. The final performance, at The Hague, will take place on Oct. 20, 2021.
