On April 9, 2022, The Oratorio Society of New York is set to present the 45th Lyndon Woodside Oratorio-Solo Competition Finals Concert, held at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall.

Eight emerging artists will be selected to perform before a panel of distinguished judges, with prizes ranging from $7k-1k. The selected artists and repertoire will be announced in the coming days.

Since its inauguration in 1977, the Solo Competition has helped support young singers and promote the oratorio art form.

OSNY’s season will conclude on May 9 with Mendelssohn’s “Elijah” at the Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage of Carnegie Hall, in a recital featuring Susanna Phillips, Lucia Bradford, Isaiah Bell, Justin Austin, and Zachary Whalen.
