Oratorio Society of New York Set to Open 2021-22 Season

The Oratorio Society of New York (OSNY) is set to open its 2021-22 season on Nov. 9, 2021 at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine.

The showcases will mark a return to live performances for the first time since March 2020. Kent Tritle will lead the concert which will feature Britten’s sacred choral piece “Festival Te Deum” and the cantata “Rejoice in the Lamb;” Pärt’s “Berliner Messe” and Two Slavonic Psalms; and Gabrieli’s “Jubilate Deo, Omnis Terra (A 8),” with organist Raymond Nagem.

Tritle will conduct alongside David Rosenmeyer and William Janiszewski.

The Cathedral of St. John the Divine will require proof of vaccination to attend the opening concert. All attendees and/or ticketholders will need to be fully vaccinated (received the final dose at least 14 days before the performance date). Ticketholders will be required to show proof of full vaccination (the NYS Excelsior Pass or a hard copy or photo of the vaccination card and a valid ID).
