Oratorio Society Announce Cast Change For Messiah
By Francisco SalazarThe Oratorio Society has announced a cast change for its upcoming Messiah on Dec. 19 at Carnegie Hall.
The OSNY has revealed that Lauren Snouffer will make her debut with the organization, replacing Leslie Fagan as the soprano soloist. Snouffer has previously performed the Messiah with the New York Philharmonic alongside OSNY conductor Kent Tritle.
This season, Snouffer makes her debut at the Opernhaus Zürich in the world premiere of Stefan Wirth’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring,” and performs in such Handel operas as Cleopatra in “Giulio Cesare,” Romilda in “Serse,” and the title role of “Aci, Galatea e Polifemo.”
Snouffer joins a cast that also includes Heather Petrie, Brian Giebler, and Adam Lau. Tritle conducts.
