Opernhaus Zürich to Livestream ‘Les Contes d’Hoffmann’

The Opernhaus Zürich is set to livestream a production of Offenbach’s “Les Contes d’Hoffmann.

The production, which will be streamed on April 11, will star Saimir Pirgu in the title role, Alexandra Kadurina as Nicklausse, Katrina Galka as Olympia, Ekaterina Bakanova as Antonia, Lauren Fagan as Giulietta, Erica Petrocelli as Stella, and Andrew Foster-William as the Four Villains.

Antonino Fogliani is set to conduct the production by Andreas Homoki.

The stream is one of the April streams for Zürich, which will showcase archived performances of “Konigkinder,” “Semele,” and “Fidelio.” There will also video-on-demand streams of Winterreise, the ballet “Impulse” and Brahms’ German Requiem.

Opernhaus Zürich recently streamed live productions of “Maria Stuarda,” “Boris Godunov,” and “Die Csárdásfürstin.”
