OperaVision is set to present Verdi’s “La Forza del Destino” from the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

The broadcast will be held on Nov. 30, 2024 and will feature a production by Jean-Claude Auvray and conducted by maestro Nicola Luisotti.

The cast includes Alejandro López, Anna Pirozzi, Artur Rucinski, Brian Jagde, Caterina Piva, John Relyea, and Pietro Spagnoli.

The recording was made on Nov. 15 and will be available on OperaVision until May 30, 2025.

The production received rave reviews with critics stating, “Anna Pirozzi…brought her A-game once again. Her portrayal of Donna Leonora had the audience spellbound, and it’s no wonder she received a well-deserved standing ovation” and “Brian Jagde… feels like a perfect evolution for him, and he delivered on every count.”
