OperaVision Releases ‘Violetta’s Ghost’ Short Film

The short by Max Hoehn showcases Verdi’s famed prelude to “La Traviata” with haunting animated images. The film was made with the participation of Opera Lab Europe.
Hoehn was nominated as Best Young Director at the 2016 International Opera Awards, won the 2015 Independent Opera Directing Fellowship, and was a prize-winner at the 9th Europäischer Opernregie-Preis.
He has directed at the Welsh National Opera, Scottish Opera, Birmingham Opera Company, and Cambridge Handel Opera Company. Hoehn has also translated a number of operas including “Cosi fan tutte” and “Khovanschina.”
