OperaVision Celebrates World Opera Day with ‘La Bohème’

OperaVision will be streaming “La Bohème” from Opéra Orchestre National de Montpellier for World Opera Day on Oct. 25, 2024.

The performance was recorded on May 26, 2024, and will continue the celebration of Puccini’s year.

The cast includes Adriana Ferfecka as Mimì, Julia Muzychenko as Musetta, Long Long as Rodolfo, Mikołaj Trąbka as Marcello, Dominic Sedgwick as Schaunard, and Dongho Kim as Colline.

Roderick Cox conducts the production by Orpha Phelan.

The presentation is one of the many World Opera Day Celebrations. Opera Europa also announced that the autumn conference will be taking place at teh Teatro Regio di Torino with a special focus on recognizing the Art of Italian singing at the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Additionally, the Teatro Regio di Torino will present the Manoin trilogy on RAI.
