OperaVision has announced its March program celebrating musical theatre in short form.

The first stream of the month will be a new choreography by Deutsche Oper am Rhein’s ballet director Demis Volpi entitled “A Simple Piece.”

Straus & Strauss & Co from Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich will be the second showcase of the month. The concert will feature delightful opera and operetta numbers.

The third stream of the week will be “20 Shots of Opera” from Irish National Opera. In reviewing the works, OperaWire’s Alan Neilson called the operatic experiment “innovative” and “excellent.”

Streaming Dates: March 12, 2021

Verdi’s “Attila” will be streamed from a performance at the Sofia National Opera.

Streaming Date: March 19, 2021

Opera Zuid from the Netherlands will offer two 20th century French masterpieces each running less than an hour. The stream will feature “La Voix Humaine” and “L’Heure espagnole.”
