OperaVision 2020 Preview: Malin Byström to Star in Royal Swedish Opera’s ‘Fedora’

OperaVision will present Giordano’s “Fedora” from the Royal Swedish Opera on Jan. 17, 2020.

The Verismo work will star Malin Byström, Daniel Johansson, Ola Eliasson, Marianne Odencrants, Krisitan Flor, Emelie Thoor, Niklas Björling Rygert, Jon Nilsson, John Erik Eleby, Jens Persson, Håkan Ekenäs, Andreas Lundmark, Mikael Fagerholm, and Henrik Hugo, among others.

Eugene Tzigane is set to conduct the opera, which will be directed by Christof Loy.

The stream kicks off at 7 p.m. local time. That’s around 1 p.m. Eastern time and 10 a.m. Pacific time for the start time. It will be available for repeat viewings on Opera Vision until July 17, 2020.

The streaming service is free through OperaVision, which, per its official website, is a project “supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe program, OperaVision builds on the success of The Opera Platform, with more contributing opera companies from more countries, under the editorial supervision of Opera Europa, the European association of opera companies and festivals.
