Opera Zuid to Tour Mozart’s ‘Der Schauspieldirektor’

Opera Zuid will tour “Der Schauspieldirektor” to kick off its 2023-24 season.

The Mozart work will open on Nov. 12, 2023 and is set to run through Dec. 3. It will star Sir Thomas Allen in the lead role. He will perform alongside Saskia Bonarius, Krisitna Bitenc, Chelsea Bonagura, Marc Pantus, Mitch Raemakers, Neele Jacobsen, Pascal Franssen, and Berend Stumphius.

Christopher Gillett directs the production with Enrico Delamboye conducting.

Here is a rundown of the tour dates for the production:

Nov. 12 – Parktheater Eindhoven
Nov. 14 – Theater Rotterdam
Nov. 16 – Chassé Theater, Breda
Nov. 18 – Schouwburg Concertzaal Tilburg
Nov. 21 – De Lawei, Drachten
Nov. 23 – Amare, Den Haag
Nov. 25 – Stadsschouwburg Utrecht
Nov. 30 – Parkstad Limburg Theaters, Heerlen
Dec. 3 – Theater aan het Vrijthof, Maastricht
