The Downtown Brandon Alliance, in partnership with Opera Vermont, has announced that Gian Carlo Menotti’s “Amahl & the Night Visitors.”

The opera will be performed at the Brandon Congregational Church for two performances on Dec. 6, 2025.

The performance will include Kathleen Echols as Amahl’s Mother,  and Liam Shannon as the wise King Melchior.

As the music director of this production, Tim Guiles will lead the principals and ensemble from the piano. This marks Guiles’ debut with Opera Vermont,

This week, the company is also set to present productions of Rossini’s La Cenerentola” and Puccini’s “La Bohème.”
