Opera Tampa Announces 2020-21 Season

The Opera Tampa has announced its 2020-21 season

The season will open with Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Pirates of Penzance,” the beloved operetta.  The work was postponed in March due to the coronavirus.

Performance Dates: Jan. 22-24, 2021

The second opera of the season will be Verdi’s “Il Trovatore,” which features some of Verdi’s most popular melodies including the famed “Anvil Chorus.”

Performance Dates: March 12-14, 2021

Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” concludes the season.

Performance Dates: April 23-25, 2021

All performances are set to be presented at the Ferguson Hall in Tampa Opera. Opera Tampa season ticket packages will go on sale May 1, 2020.

Casts for each of the productions will be announced at a future date.
