Opera Saratoga Announces Return of ‘AMERICA SINGS’ Series

By Logan Martell

Opera Saratoga has announced that their free concert series, “AMERICA SINGS,” will return to Caffè Lena after being temporarily paused due to COVID.

Baritone Luis Alejandro Orozco will be joined by pianist Michael Lewis for a program featuring selections of Schubert, Brahms, and Piazzolla. A graduate of OS’s Young Artist Program, Orozco has performed with companies throughout America, such as Pensacola Opera, Opera in Williamsburg, Opera Roanoke, Opera Santa Barbara, Wichita Symphony Orchestra, the Las Vegas Philharmonic, Syracuse Opera, and more.

Concerts of “AMERICA SINGS” are live-streamed and available to watch for free, with audiences encouraged to donate through their tip jar, with proceeds being split between the company and artists in order to provide them with vital support during these times.

Upcoming concerts that were scheduled for December and January will be presented in the spring, featuring concerts by soprano Brandie Sutton, baritone Justin Austin, and composer/pianist Damien Sneed.
