Opera San José Unveils Cast For ‘Die Fledermaus’

Opera San José has unveiled its complete cast for the company’s upcoming production of “Die Fledermaus.”

The opera will open on Sept. 14, 2019 at the California Theatre, marking the start of the company’s new season. It will feature Michael Morgan, the music director of Festival Opera in Walnut Creek in his company debut with a cast that includes Eugene Brancoveanu, Maria Natale, Elena Galván, Ellen Leslie, Alexander Boyer, Brian James Myer, Nathan Stark, Stephanie Sanchez, and Jesse Merlin.

Marc Jacobs will direct the production with costume design by Cathleen Edwards and set design by Charlie Smith.

The production will be performed on Sept. 14, 15, 19, 22, and 27 with the company’s General Director set to feature a 45-minute talk with ticket holders before each performance of the opera.
