Opera San José is set to perform Puccini’s “La Bohème” from Nov. 16 to Dec. 1, 2024.

The opera will be performed in time for the holiday season in a production set in Paris at Christmastime in the aftermath of the Great War.

The opera will star Artist-in-Residence tenor WooYoung Yoon stars as the poet Rodolfo, opposite sopranos Kearstin Piper Brown and Mikayla Sager alternating as Mimì.

They will be joined by Kid

on Choi as Marcello, Melissa Sondhi as Musetta, Jesús Vincente Murillo as Schaunard, and Younggwang Park as Colline.

Opera San José Resident Stage Director Michelle Ainna Cuizon will make her mainstage directorial debut with Opera San José Music Director Joseph Marcheso conducting.
