Opera San José has announced its 2024-25 season.

It all starts with “The Magic Flute” under composer/conductor Ala Deutscher. Director Brad Dalton leads a cast starring Ricardo José Rivera, WooYoung Yoon, Nichole Koh, Melissa Sondhi, Emily Misch, Nicolas Vasquez-Gerst, and Younggwang Park.

Performance Dates: Sept. 14-29, 2024

WooYoung Yoon, Kidon Choi, Kearstin Piper Brown, Mikayla Sager, Melissa Sondhi, Jason Zacher, and Jesús Vicente Murillo star in “La Bohème.” Michelle Ainna Cuizon directs a production for the first time with the company. Joseph Marcheso conducts.

Performance Dates: Nov. 16 – Dec. 1, 2024

Maria Natale and Jason Zacher share the stage in “Bluebeard’s Castle.” Shawna Lucey directs and Joseph Marcheso conducts.

Performance Dates: Feb. 15 – March 2, 2025

Rounding out the season will be “Zorro,” presented in collaboration with Kentucky Opera. The work stars Arianna Rodriguez, Guadalupe Paz, Eugene Brancoveanu, Maria Brea, Jesús Vicente Murillo, and Raphaella Medina. David Radamés Toro directs.

Performance Dates: April 19 – May 4, 2025
