However, he remains somewhat of an obscure composer in the modern opera world. Despite tackling themes that remain relevant today (such as the corruption of institutions and their power over the masses), many of those that spend great amounts of time going to the opera, don’t actually know his works.
And so this quiz is a bit of a test to come to grips with some Meyerbeer’s history and works. And for those that have learned to love him for some time, this should be a breeze.
