Opera Philadelphia Announces Karen Slack Recital

Opera Philadelphia has announced that soprano Karen Slack will perform a series of recitals.

The company announced that the soprano will perform as part of the O19 festival in the series Curtis in Concert.

The soprano will perform alongside Martin Luthor Clark and David Lofton at the Field Concert Hall.

The soprano recently made her role debut as “Tosca” with Opera Birmingham and created the role of Billie in Terence Blanchard’s “Fire Shut up in My Bones.” She is currently at the Metropolitan Opera where she will cover Serena in “Porgy and Bess.” She embarks on a recital tour this season with more dates to be announced.

The Opera Philadelphia recitals are set for Sept. 22 and 29, 2019 and the festival will open on Sept. 18, 2019.
