Opera Parallèle is set to celebrate its 10^th season gala on Oct. 2, 2019 at the War Memorial Green Room in San Francisco.

The gala, entitled “Because of You,” will feature performances from such artists as Marnie Breckenridge, Catherine Cook, Bojan Knezevic, Matthew Worth, and pianist Keisuke Nakagoshi. The Opera Parallèle Gala Chorus will also perform with all proceeds heading to the company itself.

The event will honor founding Opera Parallèle Board member Bob Ellis, who has also served as a board member with the San Francisco Opera and Opera America.

“The 10^th anniversary is reason enough for a young opera company to celebrate but our theme, ‘Because of You,’ gives us a wonderful opportunity to thank all of the people who have given so much of their time, expertise and financial resources to help us arrive at this milestone, and none more than the evening’s honoree Bob Ellis,” said Gala Co-Chairs Nancy Petrisko and Robert Ripps in a press release.
