Opera Orlando Youth Company to Present Annual ‘Soup Opera’
By David SalazarOpera Orlando’s Youth Company has announce that it will be present its annual “Soup Opera.”
The showcase will take place at the St. John Lutheran Church in Winter Park, Florida on Dec. 17, 2022 at 2 p.m. local time. The program will be headlined by company singers (ages eight to 18) and includes solos and ensemble pieces.
The event, which is free to attend, provides the local community with an opportunity to collect food and donations for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
The company is also set to present “All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914” at the Veteran Affairs Medican Center of Lake Nona on Dec. 16 followed by a pair of showcases of the work at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts on Dec. 23 and 24, 2022.
