Opera Orlando has received the Golden Bear Grant from The American Fundraising Foundation.

The grant totals $10,000 and is aimed at providing the organization extra support during the pandemic.

“We are beyond excited at Opera Orlando to receive the Golden Pear Grant,” said Gabriel Preisser, general director of Opera Orlando, in an official press statement. “Having support like this gives us a unique opportunity to expand what we do for our community. Partners like AmFund and our sponsors and donors are at the heart of our mission at Opera Orlando, and we truly couldn’t provide the high-quality productions and education programs we offer without their support.”

Opera Orlando’s 2021-22 season will continue with a production of Verdi’s early comedy “Un Giorno di Regno” followed by “Lizbeth.”
