Opera on the Menu to Present ‘Nightmare on 4th Street’

By Francisco Salazar

Opera on the Menu is set to present “Nightmare on 4th Street,” a Halloween-themed show accompanied by a four-course meal.

The show, which will be held on Oct. 29 and 30 at Kelly Jo Designs by Wine in Los Ranchos De Albuquerque, will feature music from Humperdink’s “Hansel und Gretel,” Verdi’s “Otello,” Menotti’s “The Medium,” and scenes from your favorite spooky musicals.

The performance and dinner is open to all ages, though some scenes may be frightening for young children. Each guest will receive a free glass of bubbling cauldron sangria with their ticket and the Kelly Jo Bar will be serving wine from Los Ranchos Winery and local draft beer. Kids under 7 eat free.

The opera company was founded by singers and entrepreneurs Bailey Barnes and Jennifer Kuchar.
