Opera NexGen has announced its 2021-2022 season entitled “Not Looking Back.” The season will feature two productions.

The season opens with a new work “Night Trip”  by composer Carlos Simon and librettist Sandra Seaton.

Performance Date: Dec. 11, 2021

The second production of the season will be Gluck’s masterpiece “Orfeo ed Euridice.”

Performance Dates: March 4 & 6, 2022

All performances and events will be live and virtual. Audition details and more information about venues will be announced in August.

The season will also include six webinar events. The company currently has several webinar events on its YouTube channel, including “Technology 101” with Angel Azzarra, “Self-Branding in Opera” by Renee Ombaba, “Body Image in Opera” by Tracy Cox, Matthew Anchel, and Zuly Inirio, and “Budget 101” by Tara Faircloth.
