
Opera Neo Announces 2026 Season

The American premiere of Vivaldi’s “Arsilda” stars Chihiro Asano, Mala Weissberg, Emily Helenbrook, Megan Callahan, Ryan Lustgarten, Joshua Hughes, and Tina O’Malley. Peter Kozma directs the production and conducts the Opera Neo Orchestra, performing on period instruments.
Performance Dates: May 15 & 16, 2026
Louise Bertin’s took “Fausto” receives its American premiere. Julianna Smith takes on the title role. She is joined by Alexandra Kzeski, Robert Feng, Sarah Curtis, Chihiro Asano, Scott Clark, David Mejía, and Xochitl Hernandez. Peter Kozma serves as director and conductor.
Performance Dates: June 26 & 27, 2026
“Il turco in Italia“ by Gioachino Rossini is next. Tina O’Malley, Scott Clark, Andrew Payne, Evan Katsefes, Robert Feng, Ilanna Starr, and Krishna Raman make up the cast. Peter Kozma directs and conducts.
Performance Dates: July 24 & 25, 2026
The annual “Aria Gala” features performances by young artists and is followed by a reception with
the artists.
Performance Date: July 12, 2026
The young artist’s recital, “A Night at the Museum” features art songs curated to explore and
complement some of the works of art at La Jolla Woman’s Club’s galleries. Samantha Fox and Beatrice Huang direct.
