Opera Neo has announced its 2022 season.

The San Diego-based company will kick things off an “Aria Gala” at The Conrad Presbys Performing Arts Center.

Performance Dates: July 10, 2022

There will also be a pair of Cabaret evenings at Bread & Salt.

Performance Dates: July 22 & 23, 2022

The company will also feature a transatlantic collaboration with the Hungarian State Opera, welcoming András Almási-Tóth to direct a production of “La Finta Giardiniera.” The opera will be a co-production with the Hungarian State Opera.

“As opera is a global art form, adding this international component to our program will provide us with an ongoing benchmark and opportunities to exchange ideas with both young and established artists from abroad,” said Opera Neo Artistic Director Peter Kozma, who will conduct the opera.

The work will star Öznur Tülüoglu, Eric Laine, Anna Trombetta, Kyle White, Artúr Szeleczki, Andrea Jörös, and Boglárka Brindás.

Performance Dates: August 5 & 6, 2022

Next up will be “Ariodante” led by conduct Benjamin Bayl. Kozma will direct a cast featuring Stephanie Doche, Michael Skarke, Sara Womble, Ashley Fabian, Brian Skoog, and Andrew Boisvert.
