Opéra National de Paris to Present Benefit Concert for Ukraine

The Opéra National de Paris is set to present a concert in support of Ukraine on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at the Palais Garnier.

All proceeds from the event will be used to support victims of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The showcase will feature Liudmyla Monastyrska, John Daszak, Russell Braun, Marie-Andrée Bouchard-Lesieur, and Emanuela Pascu. Carlo Rizzi will conduct the orchestra and chorus of the Opéra National de Paris. The event will also feature the ballet company as well.

Audiences will hear music from “Prince Igor,” “Cavalleria Rusticana,” “Norma,” “La Forza del Destino,” “Macbeth,” and “Nabucco,” as well as songs by such composers as Rachmaninoff and Wagner; Braun and Daszak will also interpret traditional Ukraine traditional songs.

The company is the latest to put on a concert in support of Ukraine following the Metropolitan Opera and Glyndebourne.
