The June 25, 2018 performance of “Il Trovatore” has been canceled at the Opéra de Paris.

The Paris Opera sent out a message stating, “Unfortunately tonight’s performance at Opéra de Paris is canceled due to a strike. The management of the Paris Opera wishes to apologize to spectators and to propose either a ticket exchange for another performance of the same production, or a refund.”

The performance was set to star Jennifer Rowley in the role of Leonora, Vitaliy Bilyy as the Count, Roberto Alagna as Manrico, and Ekaterina Semenchuk as Azucena.

The production is set to continue its run June 27 with a different cast that stars Sondra Radvanovsky and Marcelo Alvarez. Rowley and Alagna are set to return to the stage on June 28 with Maurizio Benini conducting the complete run.
