Opera National de Paris Cancels December 19 Performance Due to Strike

The Opera National de Paris has canceled all performances on Dec. 19, 2024.
The company said, “Due to a strike involving some staff at the Paris Opera, the performance of the opera ‘Rigoletto‘ scheduled on 19th December 2024 at 7:30 p.m. at the Opéra Bastille is unfortunately canceled.”
The company also noted that the ballet at the Palais Garnier, “Play” is also canceled.
The company added that ticketholders who purchased tickets with a credit card will automatically be refunded within four weeks and in the event that spectators cannot be automatically reimbursed by re-crediting their payment cards, the amount will be transferred to their credit balance available in their personal space on operadeparis.fr.
This is the latest performance canceled by the Paris Opera. Earlier this month the company canceled four performances of “Paquita” and one performance of “Play” due to the national strike.
