The Opéra National de Paris has announced several cast changes for its upcoming production of The Ring Cycle.

The company announced that Natalia Skrycka will replace Christina Bock as Waltraute in “Die Walküre” while Michaela Schuster replaces Sarah Connolly as Waltraute and the second Norn in “Götterdämmerung.” Finally, Martina Serafin will replace Ricarda Merbeth on Nov. 28 as Brünnhilde in “Götterdämmerung.”

The Opéra de Paris is set to begin its new Ring production in the spring and summer with “Das Rheingold” and “Die Walküre” and will follow in the fall with “Siegfried” and “Götterdämmerung.” The complete Ring Cycle will be shown twice at the end of November and beginning of December.

Calixto Bieto is set to direct the new production with music director Philippe Jordan conducting.
